Website shortcut icons
The website shortcut icons allow you to quickly navigate to your most frequently visited pages. Generated automatically based on your history, they are featured on the Ecosia homepage regardless of your preferred way to use Ecosia!
Please note that this guide does not apply to the Ecosia browser, where shortcut icons can be modified freely.
Although it is not yet possible to directly customize the icons, you can remove a specific shortcut by clicking on the small “x” in its corner.
On the mobile apps, performing a long click will bring up an options menu, where the shortcut can be deleted. If you have enough frequently visited websites, a new website icon will come up instead.
Although all icons can be removed through this method, they will be featured again as you browse further pages on Ecosia.
