Use Ecosia in Edge

Making Ecosia your default search engine on desktop is easy and we explain two different different ways to use Ecosia on Edge.

The default search engine setting determines the search engine in the main address bar. To make Ecosia your default search engine in Edge, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings in Edge - If you are using a mac you can also find settings by clicking on  Preferences
2. Select Privacy, Search, and Services in the left sidebar
3. Scroll down to Services
4. Click on Address bar and search and select Ecosia

Download the extension

Using the Ecosia extension will set your default search engine and homepage to Ecosia right away:

1. Go to the Microsoft Edge add-ons store and select Get.
2. Confirm that you want to download Ecosia.
3. Enable the Ecosia extension in the browser settings in Extensions. You can access the browser settings by clicking on the menu (3 dots in the right corner).
4. Ecosia is now your default search engine in Edge!
